SYMETIX® Software Engineer - Systems

Researches, designs, and develops computer software, with a particular emphasis on system level software, including OS, UI, and control design.

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a technical discipline, plus two years of relevant experience.  A Masters' degree may substitute for one year of experience, or a PhD for two years, provided the advanced degree is in a technical discipline.  Relevant experience includes structured and/or object-oriented software algorithm development with an emphasis on requirements analysis and design, experience with the C and/or C++ programming languages, experience developing UNIX and X Window applications.  Of special interest is direct experience in one or more of the following:  real-time image-processing and machine-vision algorithms, statistical learning systems, support vector machines, evolutionary programming, and/or sensor fusion.
