Electrical Engineer/Control System Specialist

To qualify, candidates must have previous experience withprogrammable logic controllers, variable frequency drives, and control system design.  Candidate analyzes processing system design to develop control system specifications.  Synthesizes system needs into estimated manufacturing costs and engineering labor for system quotations.  Develops detailed drawings and bill of materials for use by manufacturing personnel.  Candidate must have working knowledge of UL 508A and the National Electric Code.  Experience developing programs for PLCs and operator interfaces.  Excellent troubleshooting skills necessary to test and commission systems.  Skilled in calculations required to properly design electrical control systems.  Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting, particularly Pro-E and AutoCAD.  Position requires integration of mechanical systems and ability to design application specific components per customer request.  Ability to work with customer during instillation.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers to help troubleshoot and solve problems.

Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology degree preferred with three years experience directly related to system integration or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Will also consider candidates with Industrial or Mechanical Engineering degree and significant practical experience in Control System design.
