Key Technology Expands Online Training Program to Include ADR® Automatic Defect Removal Systems

December 2, 2009 – Key Technology introduces its new Online Training Program for ADR® Automatic Defect Removal Systems.  This self-paced, interactive training program, which covers ADR 5 and ADR 4 systems and G6-upgraded ADR systems, expands the knowledgeability of employees to better operate, maintain, and clean ADR systems.  By improving the effectiveness and consistency of training, Key’s Online Training Program helps processors operate their ADR systems at peak performance to optimize product quality and maximize equipment uptime while minimizing training costs.

The new ADR training program includes seven modules that cover various hardware-related topics of interest to operators, maintenance personnel, sanitation crews, supervisors, and others.  Training modules that cover the software and G6 user interface, which pertain to ADR as well as Key sorters such as Optyx®, Tegra®, and G6-upgraded legacy sorters, have been available since Key introduced its first set of online training modules in 2008.

Compared to traditional in-person training, Key’s interactive, multimedia curriculum is affordable and available anytime, on-demand.  It allows companies to easily train employees when needed – before the equipment is installed or when certification or re-certification is required.  The program improves the consistency of training because employees across the company, regardless of location, receive identical training.  Retention is enhanced and training time is reduced because the program can be tailored to include only the modules that cover the topics that are most relevant to each specific job position.

Each self-paced module is designed to take less than 20 minutes to complete and includes a short test to verify the material is understood.  Full reporting, delivered via the Learning Management System (LMS), facilitates record keeping and provides proof of compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Key’s Online Training Program now includes modules that cover ADR hardware, Optyx hardware, Tegra hardware, G6 software, and Iso-Flo® vibratory conveyors.  Additionally, training modules are available on a variety of industry compliance topics such as safety and health, HACCP, human resources compliance, DOT HAZMAT, and environmental management.  Processors have access to every Key training module for one low subscription price.

In addition to the Online Training Program, Key offers training via instructor-led web conferencing and in-person, on-site, as needed.
