Raptor and FluoRaptor™ Laser Sorters
Key’s Optyx® Raptor family combines our proprietary Vis/IR cameras with the food industry’s highest-resolution laser scanning power to detect product defects and foreign material (FM) by color, shape and size. Pinpoint vision (2.5X finer than any current scanner) and 12 million data points per second put the Raptor family in a class by itself.
Now NEW FluoRaptor™ adds fluorescence-sensing ability to recognize the presence of varying levels of chlorophyll in products. This allows it not only to easily separate non-chlorophyll-containing defects and FM, but extraneous vegetable matter (EVM) as well.
Raptor and FluoRaptor™ laser sorters are ideal for targeting glass, rocks, metal, rodents, insects and other field debris—as well as defects and EVM including subtle green tones in carrots and potatoes; pod, vine, and leaf in peas of the same color; husk and shank in corn; and core in iceberg, romaine, and cabbage.
Features and Benefits
Maximum Vision
- The highest resolution laser scanners in food sorting today allows aggressive targeting of defects and foreign material in 610 mm (24”) and 1219 mm (48”) scan widths at the same high resolution.
Maximum Applications
- Processors and consumers of dried and frozen fruit; fresh, frozen, or cooked vegetables; potato products; fresh-cut/leafy greens; tree nuts and other products benefit from enhanced food safety and quality.
Maximum Horsepower
- Leveraging G6 image processing muscle, powerful signal processing and data "crunching" provide the most information you can get from a sorter.
Maximum Control
- Unlike other laser sorters, Key Technology's patented user interface gives you the ability to see what Raptor sees. Intuitive, easy-to-use displays let you set criteria at the touch of a button.
Maximum Safety
- The safest, and only Class 1, laser system in food sorting ensures optimal protection for your employees with an integrated, out-of-sight light emission source.
Maximum Stability
- Adaptive Signal Processing automatically minimizes the need to adjust for system drift.
- Raptor and FluoRaptor™ laser sorters are available in two scan widths to meet the needs of both low and high volume processors:
