To maximize equipment reliability, different component specifications are met for high temperature applications than below-freezing applications. Different design and manufacturing techniques are used for dry environments than wet environments.
Using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools, Key’s engineering team analyzes the robustness and performance of components and assemblies during design. These tools identify hot spots of stress concentration, which allows the team to assure the design maximizes equipment reliability.
Key designs all its Smart Shaker® Vibratory Conveyors to the highest standards and then assures its manufacturing processes follow suit. Rigorous internal standards carefully control the welding processes to achieve the highest stress limits and special processes before and after welding further reduce stress at the welded joints. All welded components, sub assemblies, and parts are inspected to assure all equipment complies with Key’s high standards.
Finally, all Smart Shaker® Vibratory Conveyors are run for one hour at Key prior to shipping to the customer. This confirms the operating speeds and stroke as well as component function during operation.
